Gelatin Mask

It’s really similar to waxing but this method involves the use of gelatin rather than hot wax. To get started, simply combine 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin and 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh milk in a small bowl. Add 3 to 4 drops of lemon juice. If you have lavender essential oil, feel free to add 1 to 2 drops of it into the mixture rather than lemon juice.

Microwave the mixture for about 15 to 20 seconds only. Check that it’s not too hot as to scald your skin before applying on trouble spots. Allow it to dry completely for 5 minutes then gently peel off.

Tea Tree Oil and Lavender

A mixture of 4 to 6 drops of tea tree oil and 1 teaspoon of lavender essential oil may be applied on unwanted facial hair 2 to 3 times daily using a cotton ball. This all-natural solution is highly effective against hirsutism, a condition wherein there’s too much hair on the body which can be caused by certain medications or hormonal imbalance.

Oatmeal Scrub

Thanks to the grainy texture of raw oatmeal, it can be used for exfoliating the skin as well as removing fine facial hair. Combine the hair-removing ability of oatmeal with the bleaching properties of lemon juice and the soothing power of honey and you get a scrub highly effective in dealing with excess facial hair.

Get started by combining 1 teaspoon of ground oatmeal, 1 teaspoon of freshly-squeezed lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of pure honey. Gently massage on hairy areas of the face and leave it there for around 15 minutes. Massage again using small circular motions against the direction of hair growth. Rinse off with warm water. Do this home remedy 2 to 3 times a week.

Egg White Mask

Aside from being highly effective in dealing with fine lines and sagging skin, egg whites are very good at removing facial hair too. It may be combined with a few other ingredients to come up with a remedy that’s similar to waxing.

In a bowl, beat the white of an egg. And 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of corn flour and mix very well. Apply the resulting thick paste on embarrassing facial hair. Leave it there to dry completely. Peel off once taut.

Sugaring

Many beauty salons and day spas offer sugaring or Persian wax, a hair removal procedure said to be perfect for women with sensitive skin. If you cannot tolerate waxing and you don’t have the budget to avail of sugaring professionally, worry not because this DIY facial hair removal solution is perfect for you.

Combine 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of pure honey and 1/2 teaspoon of freshly-squeezed lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix and microwave for about a couple of minutes or until you see that the sugar has completely melted. Allow the sweet mixture to cool a bit and apply a thin layer over facial hair. Place a waxing strip or a strip of clean, thin cloth over the melted sugar and apply a little pressure. Pull the strip against the direction of the hair growth.

A really simple way to get rid of unwanted facial hair naturally and without spending a huge sum of cash is with the use of turmeric powder. Simply add a few drops of water to 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder to create a paste. Apply it on facial hair and wipe off with a clean cloth and rinse with water after about 10 minutes. Do this solution on a daily basis.
