Buttermilk – The lactic acid in buttermilk is great for removing brown spots. Apply buttermilk directly on the spots and let it rest for a few minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Lemon Juice – Contains bleaching agent known to lighten dark spots. Apply lemon juice on the affected area and rinse off with cold water. You can also cut a lemon in half and use it as an exfoliant. Rub the half slice of lemon on dark spots on the body during your shower.

Yogurt – Yogurt is a natural moisturizer and brightener. Apply plain yogurt on the affected area and let it sit for 20 minutes or sleep with it on. Rinse off with cold water.
