Here are some simple and effective recipes that prevent hair loss.
Hair Oil and Vitamin E Hair Mask
Ingredients
• Vitamin E capsules
• Hair Oils (coconut, almond, olive)
Directions
• Add all your vitamin oil together and crush your vitamin capsules into the mixture.
• Massage this mix into the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Leave it on overnight
• Shampoo and condition in the morning
• Do this every other day for best result
Egg Yolk and Green Tea Mask
Ingredients
• One Egg Yolk
• 2 tbsp. Green tea
Directions
• Mix the ingredients with a whisk, mix until it becomes frothy
• Apply the mask on the scalp and roots evenly.
• Apply more in areas that are damaged
• Cover with a shower cap or apply mild steam on the hair for 30 minutes or more
• Rinse off with cold water
• Do this thrice a week
Onion Mask
Ingredients
• 3 onion bulbs
• Alum
Directions
• Peel and crush onion for juice
• Mix the juice with the alum
• Apply to the roots of the hair
• Leave it on overnight and wrap your hair with a shower cap to prevent the smell from sticking to the pillowcase
• Wash thoroughly in the morning (make sure that the smell disappears)
• Do this twice or thrice a week
Honey Mask
Ingredients
• 1 tbsp. Rum
• 1 tbsp. Honey
• One egg yolk
• Castor oil
• Vitamin E and A capsules
Directions
• Crush the capsules and mix all the ingredients together
• Apply on the roots and ends of the hair
• Wrap your hair in a moist and hot towel
• Let it sit for an hour or more
• Rinse it off with a mild shampoo
Egg Yolk and Onion Hair Mask
Ingredients
• One Egg Yolk
• Olive Oil
• 1 tsp. Honey
• 2 tbsp. Onion juice
Directions
• Mix all the ingredients together
• Apply to the roots, let it sit for 15 minutes
• Apply on the rest of the hair
• Let it sit for 30 more minutes, then rinse thoroughly
Honey, Aloe Juice, and Garlic Juice
Ingredients
• 1 tsp. Garlic juice
• 1tbsp. Honey
• 2 tbsp. Aloe juice
• One egg yolk
Directions
• Mix all the ingredients together
• Apply to the roots and shaft of the hair
• Leave it on for 20 minutes
• Rinse with shampoo and conditioner
Avocado Hair Mask
Ingredients
• 1 tbsp. Honey
• 2 tbsp. Olive oil
• One ripe mashed avocado
Directions
• Add all the ingredients together until it turns creamy
• Apply on the shaft of the hair and minimal amounts on the roots
• Let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse off with mild shampoo
Yogurt and Egg Mask
Ingredients
• ¼ cup Mayonnaise
• ¼ cup Yogurt (plain)
• One egg
Directions
• Whip the egg until it turns frothy
• Whip in mayonnaise and yogurts to the egg
• Apply on the scalp and cover the hair with a shower cap or hot towel
• Leave on for an hour
• Rinse off with cold water and mild shampoo
Egg Yolk and Banana Hair Mask
Ingredients
• One ripe banana
• One egg yolk
Directions
• Mix the ingredients together until it turns creamy
• Apply on the scalp and leave it on for 30 to 40 minutes
• Rinse with lukewarm water
Oatmeal Hair Mask
Ingredients
• 1 tbsp. oats
• 1 tbsp. fresh milk
Directions
• Create a paste with the ingredients
• Comb it through the hair to spread evenly
• Leave it on for 20 minutes
• Rinse off with mild shampoo
Potato Hair Mask
Ingredients
• One large potato
• 2 tbsp. honey
• 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel
Directions
• Extract juice from the potato and mix with aloe vera and honey
• Spread the mask evenly from roots to end
• Leave on for 2 hours and rinse off with warm water
Hibiscus Hair Mask
Ingredients
• Olive oil
• Hibiscus petals
• Raw milk
Directions
• Soak the petals in water and leave it overnight
• Place the hibiscus and water in a blender with the olive oil and raw milk.
• Apply on the roots and ends of the hair
• Leave it for 20 to 25 minutes and rinse with cold water
Fenugreek Hair Mask
Ingredients
• Fenugreek seeds
Directions
• Soak the seed in water overnight
• Grind them in the morning to create a paste
• Apply on the scalp and roots
• Leave on for 20 to 25 minutes
• Rinse off with mild shampoo
Coconut and Olive Oil Mask
Ingredients
• 2tbsp coconut oil
• 1 tbsp. olive oil
Directions
• Mix the ingredients together and apply on the scalp and hair
• Leave on for an hour
• Rinse off with herbal or mild shampoo
Coffee and Egg Mask
Ingredients
• One egg yolk
• ¼ cup coffee
Directions
• Mix ingredients together and apply from roots to end
• Massage on the scalp for a 2 minutes and let the mask sit for 40 minutes
• Wash off with lukewarm water
Try out one of these hair masks at least twice a week to strengthen the hair. Avoid staying under the sun too long to prevent further hair damage and do not shampoo every day.
