Watch What You eat and Drink

Avoid using the part of the teeth that already signifies pain. Avoid extremely cold and extremely hot food and beverages.  Some teeth are highly sensitive to extreme temperatures. You should also avoid popcorns, candies, and chewing on ice.

Bite on a Cotton Ball Soaked with Clove Oil

Oil from clove buds has natural analgesic properties, the alternative to the pain relievers in most pharmacies. Soak a ball of cotton and place it in the area of your mouth where it is sore. It may cause a little burn to your gums but it is definitely safe to ingest.

Rinse Your Mouth with Warm Salt Water

Salt has been tagged with all the negative effects in our body. However, the compound in itself offers countless healing qualities. One of its many benefits is relief  from the pangs of toothache.

Never swallow the salt water. Gargle it around the mouth. Spit the solution. Do it again until you have used up all the salt water you have prepared.

Take an Over-the-Counter Pain Reliever

Although it does not count as an organic home remedy, these pain relievers do not need prescriptions and are usually found at home’s medicine cabinet. Ointments that are antiseptic serve great aid in home situations like a toothache. The most common way to deal with this is to take an ibuprofen or any other anti-inflammatory medicine.

Never take toothaches lightly. If symptoms persist, you might need to visit your doctor as soon as possible.
