Most beauty tips and tricks that we see online are leaning towards women in their 20s and above but teens also need some guidelines on how to look their best. Teenagers are prone to numerous changes in their physiology and it is highly likely that they will be dealing with acne breakouts, blemishes, and other skin issues that they’d rather not experience at all.

For those teens who want to look their best in school or when they hang out with family and friends, these beauty hacks can be put to good use.

Tea tree oil and lemon face body and face scrub. Like it was mentioned before, teens are prone to acne and not just on their face but other parts of their body too. This can be a bit embarrassing especially when it flares up on the wrong time but the good news is that you can prevent this from happening by making your own scrub. The combination of tea tree oil, raw sugar, honey, lemon, and baking soda can create a gentle scrub that will exfoliate your skin while reducing overproduction of sebum.

Lipstick hacks. For sure there will be days when you don’t want to spend too much time on your makeup but rather than looking deathly pale, use your lipstick to add warmth to your face. Swipe your lipstick on your cheekbone, lips, and brow bone then blend them with your fingers. This will give your skin a subtle glow so you’ll look fresh.

Hide acne. There are three steps to follow if you want to make your acne blemishes disappear. First, apply your foundation evenly. Apply a small amount of concealer on the affected areas and blend with the rest of your foundation. Choose a concealer that is at the appropriate shade so that it won’t be too obvious once applied. Finish it up with a setting powder so your makeup won’t run.

Line the inner rim. Those late nights when you’re up studying for an exam can make your eyes appear tired the following day. The good news is that you can create the illusion that you are wide awake by liing the inner rime with a nude eyeliner. This will help make your eyes brighter and you’ll appear wide-eyed too.

Mascara as eyeliner. Can’t find your eyeliner? Or that you haven’t gotten a new one just yet? You can always use your mascara as your emergency eyeliner. Simply get your liner brush and get some of the mascara in your mascara wand. Apply it on the rims of your eyes to make your eyes look more dramatic even when you are in a pinch. It is always a good idea to know more makeup hacks especially for those times when you don’t have any on hand.

Use baby powder. If you can’t wash your hair any time soon but don’t want to end up with greasy hair strands, give your hair and scalp a fine dusting of baby powder before going to bed. The baby powder will be able to absorb excess oil that your hair is producing so that it won’t look too dirty in the morning. This is appropriate for those with dark hair since the powder can be pretty visible if you apply it before leaving your home. If you do this at night though, the powder will already disappear come the morning.

These are just a few beauty hacks that are sure to help you deal with your teenage days easily. Looking your best doesn’t mean that you have to spend a lot of money buying expensive makeup and skin care products. Sometimes, learning a few hacks can do you a world of good.
