Here are 6 natural alternatives to shampoo:

Dry Shampoo – The inventor of dry shampoo is a god gift to women everywhere. Women that have really long hair or has dry hair would prefer not to wash their hair every day, but when we have days that our natural grease hair becomes too greasy to manage, we need to wash it. Thankfully dry shampoo eliminates this problem. It’s as it sounds a Dry  Shampoo, no need for water. It’s simply a powder that you apply to your roots to remove excess grease and gives the hair more volume. However, do not use it everyday because shampoo and water is still the best way to clean the hair.

Lemon Juice – Lemon juice gives the hair a glossy finish. Add this to your conditioner or just use it as is. Your hair will be smooth, shiny and lemon scented.

Egg yolk – this may seem like a weird and gross option, but trust me egg yolk works. Egg yolks are full of protein. Proteins that our hair needs to repair itself. Wash your hair with egg yolk and avoid putting it in contact with your scalp and remember not to use it with hot water unless you plan to eat the eggs after wash.

Baking soda and apple cider vinegar – This is a very simple recipe you can do with your pantry essentials. Make a paste out of baking soda and water. Apply this to the roots of your hair to eliminate grease. Now, mix apple cider vinegar with a cup of water, apply this to the shaft or the ends of the hair for shine and damage repair.

Mayonnaise – I have often heard mayonnaise being used as a face or hair moisturizer, but it seems like mayonnaise can also work as an all-natural shampoo.  Mayonnaise not only treats the hair, but it also removes unwanted dirt and grime.

Water – A simple as water. Forget the shampoo for a while and go all natural. Your hair may become a little bit more greasy than usual, but washing it with some water removes some of the greasiness. A little grease in the hair doesn’t hurt anyone.
