DIY For Clear Skin

Is clear skin hard to come by? You're probably wondering how others are able to maintain their smooth and soft looking skin while yours...

Taking care of our skin should be a priority especially when it is constantly exposed to the elements as well as skin care products. Although there are tons of skin care creams and lotions that can help bring about the smoothness and suppleness to our skin, the ingredients that they contain may be harmful to our skin in the long run. Add to this the fact that these beauty products can cause the pores on our skin to clog up and you know you will need to find a way to help clear your skin as much as possible. Fortunately, the solution to having clear and beautiful skin is not that hard to find because it may already be found in your kitchen. If you have baking soda on hand then you are halfway there to having that gorgeous skin you have always wanted. How can you use this? Here are a few tips for you to try.

Treats acne

Acne is a problem that many of us have experienced as a teen but you might be surprised to find that acne can still occur even as an adult. This is because our skin can become clogged with dirt, sweat, oil, and everything else in between. When our pores become clogged, inflammation will occur, and with it swelling, itching, and redness. Fortunately, you can fix this with the help of baking soda. You will need a tablespoon each of baking soda, distilled water, and fresh lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients together and apply on the affected areas. Leave it on for 5 minutes then rinse afterwards.

Exfoliator

Another way to use baking soda is to use it as a facial exfoliator. There is no need to use commercial exfoliators because they can make your skin dry but baking soda, on the other hand, can help cleanse your skin better. You should mix a tablespoon of baking soda with some water and mix some vitamin E oil too until you create a paste. Massage the mixture on the affected areas of your body in a circular motion and leave it on for a minute or two. Rinse your skin afterwards and you will find that your skin will feel smooth and supple.

Skin whitening

If you want to have lighter skin but don’t want to use any harsh chemicals, then baking soda is the answer. For this mixture, you will need 2 tablespoons of mint paste, a tablespoon of baking soda, and a tablespoon of yogurt. Mix all the ingredients together before massaging the paste on your face. Leave it on for 5 to 7 minutes before rinsing it off. You should do this regularly and you will see a huge difference to your skin.

Face mask

Oily skin can be a problem because it leaves your skin prone to acne breakouts and other blemishes. Add to this the fact that you will have that extra sheen to your face and you’ll end up with too shiny a face even before the day ends. You can correct this issue with the help of a few ingredients. You will need a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, half a cup of baking soda, and a teaspoon of lemon juice until you create a paste. Apply this all over your face and leave it on for about ten minutes. Rinse your skin thoroughly.

These are just a few tips on how you can use baking soda to have that beautiful looking skin you have always wanted. You won’t even have to worry about chemicals or anything because baking soda is pretty good for your skin.
