Aging is a natural process and one that we will experience as we age. Fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, you name it, you’ll see it happening to your skin eventually. However, the elders are not the only ones who are looking for ways to tighten their skin as even the younger generation are looking for preventive measures to keep signs of aging at bay. Sagging skin is a problem for many because of their poor diet and lifestyle. Some suffer from this because of sudden weight gain or weight loss.

But regardless of the reasons, the good news is that there are sagging skin recipes that can help alleviate this issue just like the ones below.

Skin tightening mask. In this DIY face mask, you will need to combine cucumber and egg white. Cucumber contains vitamins C and K which are antioxidants that can combat free radicals. The silica present in cucumber can help tighten the skin as well. On the other hand, the egg white is a common ingredient in many face masks because of its ability to tighten sagging skin. To make this mask, you should cut a cucumber in half and remove the skin from one half. The peeled half should be cut into 1 inch chunks. Blend the sliced chunks in medium speed for 2 minutes until the cucumber has turned to pulp. Place a strainer over a bowl and pour the pulp into the strainer. Let the juice flow and use the spoon to extract more juice from the pulp. Add egg white to the juice and mix together. Apply on your face or any affected area and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Ginger and aloe vera mask. Sagging belly is also a problem for many but one that can be treated with a little help from aloe vera and ginger. This is quite easy to prepare. You will need 2 tablespoons of ginger powder, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of pure aloe vera gel, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and apply on your sagging middle. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse afterwards.

Face lift mask. Another DIY sagging skin recipe that you should try is the face lift mask. For this, you will need to prepare 1 egg white for firming, tightening, and lifting skin, a spoonful of honey to moisturize and hydrate the skin, and a lime or lemon wedge that is squeezed for balancing and brightening the skin. Put all the ingredients in a small bowl and whisk properly until it has become foamy. Spread the mixture on your face and neck evenly while carefully avoiding the areas around the eyes and lips. Leave it on for 20 minutes or until it has completely dried. Wash off with cold water which can help seal the pores.

Overnight yogurt mask. Of course, there is also an overnight face mask that can help with skin tightening and this requires only a few ingredients. All you need is a teaspoon of honey mixed with a tablespoon of yogurt and mixed thoroughly. Apply on your face and neck and leave it on overnight. Wash your face the following morning and make sure that you remove all traces of the mask. Moisturize afterwards to further nourish the skin. 

These are just a few remedies that can help firm and tighten your skin in a safe and effective manner. What’s great about these sagging skin remedies is that there are no side effects associated with them so you can use them time and time again.
