Got Milia? Here are the Best Home Remedies for It

Steam

Put hot water in a small basin. Close your eyes, place your face a few inches over the basin, and drape a large towel over your head do this for about 15 minutes every day.

 

Warm Compress

Similarly, you may soak a pair of large cotton pads in hot water. Wring out excess and place them over your closed eyes until they’re cool. Make sure that the cotton pads are not scalding hot!

 

Raw Honey

Castor Oil

Potato Juice

Extract the juice of grated potato using a piece of cheesecloth. Allow the juice to chill in the fridge for several minutes. Soak a pair of cotton pads in it and place on the eyes. Do this daily.

 

Tomato Juice

Slice a ripe tomato in half and apply the juice on areas where milia can be found. The moment you feel some stinging, immediately remove with water.

 

Aloe Vera

If you have aloe vera in your garden, simply break off a leaf. Daub the sticky substance on those irritating bumps. After about 15 minutes, wash off with water.

 

Brown Sugar Scrub

Combine 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Gently massage on problem areas, then rinse off thoroughly. Refrain from doing this more than twice a week.

 

Oatmeal Scrub

If you feel that the brown sugar scrub above is too harsh for your skin, simply combine 2 parts raw oats and 1 part olive oil. Use this to exfoliate the milia-infested area around the eyes.
