Staying in the best of health as we age is something that we need to seriously consider especially nowadays when most of us are following a sedentary and stressful lifestyle. 20s.

You need to be more aware of what goes inside your body, paying close attention to those foods that sneak in calories in their ingredients. Make it a point to wear sunscreen every time you go out as it works as an additional barrier against the harsh rays of the sun. This can help keep your skin in the pink of health.

30s

You should keep an eye on the scale. Although we can pack on weight at any age, women find gaining and losing weight to become a struggle at this point. Keep in mind that our metabolism slows down by the time we hit 35. If you’ve just given birth, you might find that it will take some time before you shed pregnancy weight.

40s

This is considered as the critical decade. This means that you have to pay extra thought on the food that you are eating. Cut back on foods that contain high amounts of sugar and be more open to the fact that you need to up your intake of vegetables and fruits. You don’t really need to starve yourself if you are trying to lose weight because there are several healthy practices that you can follow to keep the weight off while keeping your belly full.

50s

Make sure that you are paying attention to your heart health especially at this time of your life. There are many factors for you to consider such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and the like. There is an increase in heart problems at this age which is why you need to be vigilant. It would be better if you can consult with your cardiologist regularly.

60s

This is a good time to start thinking on what you want to do in the next 20 years. Will you want to live a very laid back life or do you want to go and be more active in your day-to-day activities? It is important to take into consideration your current health to know in what way you are going to reinvent yourself.

70s

Improve your safety at home and your environment. We are not getting younger so this means that we need to make sure that we are always safe wherever we go. At home, you need to make adjustments to ensure that you won’t put yourself in any kind of danger or at high risk of accidents.
