At the first sign of a darkened neck area, don’t come scrambling to the nearest pharmacy of beauty store to buy exfoliating and whitening products. Sit down and get acquainted with these all-natural dark neck solutions:

Massage grated cucumber on the affected areas for about 15 minutes. Vitamin C in cucumber has a mild exfoliating and bleaching effect, helping to remove dead skin cells and erase dark pigments.

Apply freshly-squeezed lemon juice on the neck with a cotton ball. Rinse off after 5 minutes. Everyone knows that lemon juice has effective whitening properties. What’s more, antioxidants present help ward off premature aging signs.

Using circular motions, massage tomato juice on darkened neck areas. Do this for about 20 minutes and rinse. Tomato’s mild acidic properties help deal with that unsightly pigmentation.

Create a vitamin-packed moisturizer by mixing powdered almond, powdered milk and honey. Apply the resulting rich paste on the neck. Wait for at about 30 minutes and thoroughly wash off with water.

A few drops of olive oil make for an antioxidant-packed neck moisturizer. Applying a very thin layer of olive oil daily helps gradually reveal a new layer of skin underneath the darkened one.

Use a mortar and pestle to turn mint leaves into a paste. Apply it on the neck and rinse after 15 minutes.

Grate 1/2 of a medium-sized potato and apply the bits and juice on your neck. Allow them to stay there for 15 minutes and rinse very well with water. Potato has a mild bleaching effect on skin.

Create an all-natural exfoliating serum with walnut shell and honey. To get started, grind walnut shell and add a few dollops of honey to it. Gently massage the resulting paste on the neck using circular motions. Rinse afterwards.

Oatmeal with a little honey may be used as an exfoliating scrub as well as an oil-absorbing neck mask.

Baking soda also makes for a superb exfoliating solution. Add a few drops of water to a tablespoon of baking soda until you end up with a paste. Massage on the neck to remove dead skin cells and rinse off with water.

Yogurt’s mild acidity can help lighten dark neck skin. Simply apply yogurt on the affected areas and wash off after 15 minutes. Adding a sprinkle of turmeric powder helps add a dash of antiseptic benefit.
