Cutting or slicing calluses is just a stupid idea. Not only is it painful, but doing so may lead to infections, which is a bigger problem.

Aside from not doing the acts mentioned above, there are other ways to ward off calluses. Having a dry and clean skin and wearing comfortable shoes can help ward off calluses. It is also recommended to wear socks especially when wearing closed shoes. This is to prevent too much friction. Wearing shoes that allow air flow also helps.

Here you are presented with some methods on how to remove calluses. You don’t necessarily have to do all of these or in order. You may carry out these methods however way you want and whichever way works best for you.

Foot file or pumice stone:
1. Soak feet.
2. File the calluses away with a foot file or pumice stone.
3. Afterward, rub feet vigorously and circularly using a soft cloth.
4. Rinse feet often.
5. Rinse pumice stone or foot file often.
6. Wait for the skin to turn pink.

Take a barefoot walk on a wet, sandy beach.
• The sand scrubs the calluses excellently. Besides, walking on a sandy beach gives a relaxing and satisfying sensation to the feet.

Cornstarch:
1. Completely dry the area with a towel.
2. Sprinkle a small amount of cornstarch.

Lemon juice:
1. Mix a teaspoon of dried chamomile and lemon juice, and a clove of crushed garlic.
2. Apply mixture to callus twice a day.

Baking soda:
1. Dispense 3 tablespoons baking soda into warm water.
2. Soak the affected area into water.
3. Keep soaked for 30 minutes.

Onion, lemon, and salt:
1. Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice and salt on an onion slice.
2. Tape to callus overnight.
3. Repeat daily.

Epsom salts:
1. Sprinkle Epsom salts into water.
2. Soak the callus into water.

As you can see, there are natural and simple to do ways and to remove calluses. All of these items are usually already in your home.
