Lordosis is the medical name given to the inward curvature of the lumbar spine, or more popularly known as the small of your back. The truth is there is nothing really wrong with lordosis. However, the excessive arching of the lumbar spine may cause pain as well as the protrusion of the abdominal area. - Lumbosacral corsets – Also referred to as back braces, these pieces of medical equipment are usually recommended for people with severe lordosis. They are worn to help support the lower back and at the same time reduce its curvature.
- Surgery – This is done in extreme cases of lordosis.
