INGREDIENTS

2 small pieces of boneless and skinless chicken breasts

2 hamburger buns

1 whole green onion, chopped

1 sprinkle of habanero powder

1/2 cup of frozen raspberries

1/4 cup of table sugar

5 drops of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon of soy sauce

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/4 teaspoon of pepper

PREPARATION

Before you get started, it’s a good idea to first stash the chicken breasts in the freezer for about 20 minutes. This allows you to mince them without trouble. Once this part of the preparation is over, slice them up into 2-inch chunks. Throw them in the food processor together with your chopped onions, salt and pepper. Pulse the chicken breasts quickly for a few times.

In a pot over medium heat, place your table sugar and raspberries. Wait until the raspberries have broken down before you add a sprinkle of habanero powder and stir. Remove the pot from the heat and set aside.

Switch on your grill and set to medium-high heat. While waiting for that to heat up, form the chicken breasts that you have earlier minced into a pair of equal-sized patties. Brush one side with the glaze out of sugar, raspberries and habaneoro powder that you earlier made. Place the patties in the grill with the glazed side facing down. Wait for it to brown.

Before flipping the patties, glaze the top side. Make sure that the internal temperature has reached 165 °F. Once they’re cooked, you may begin to assemble the burgers. It’s a wonderful idea to throw in some fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles and cucumber for added crunch, taste and vital nutrients. Don’t forget to brush the top of the buns with the raspberry habanero jam before surprising a family member or friend!
