Dizziness can hit us unexpectedly. It may be that you stood up all of a sudden and you begin to feel lightheaded, or that you have spent quite a lot of time under the heat of the sun, that your world seems to be turning. Whatever the reason may be for you to feel dizzy, getting rid of it is sure to be on the top of your list of things to do. After all, you wouldn’t want to wait until you start vomiting or having hazy vision because of it, now would you?

Fortunately, there are several home remedies that can help you deal with your dizziness and most of them are easy to do.

Inhaling lavender steam

Boil some water and a few drops of lavender essential oil in it. Turn off the heat then cover your head with a towel as you lean over the pot to inhale the steam. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes. Massage some lavender oil on your ears, temples, and even the back of your neck to help relieve you from your dizziness.

Have some ginger tea

There have been several studies that show that ginger is actually an effective treatment for nausea as well as dizziness, especially when it is triggered by seasickness. If you are not into eating ginger, preparing ginger tea can still help. Fill a cup with hot water and mix in half a teaspoon of powdered ginger. The effects of this remedy will be felt after half an hour can even get rid of dizziness up to four hours at least.

Apple cider vinegar

It seems that there is nothing that apple cider vinegar can’t fix, which is why it is also a good way to treat dizziness. Just mix equal amounts of water and apple cider vinegar in a cup, add some honey to sweeten it, and drink. The vinegar is packed with amino acids as well as enzymes that can help bring balance back to your body, plus the sweetness of the honey can help reduce the effects of dizziness too.

Massage

Getting a massage can also help reduce the dizzy feeling that you have as it activates the pressure points in your body to help get more blood and oxygen flowing. Not only is this good for your dizzy spells, but it can also make your body feel more relaxed which is helpful to your health.
