Say a prayer of thanksgiving.

Upon waking up, say a morning prayer to give thanks to God for being alive and healthy. Doing this simple routine can help boost your confidence. Likewise, your skin can also benefit from this as it relaxes your muscles and it opens up your blood vessels. After you pray, smile because you are given another day to live. The habit of smiling is a good form of facial exercise because you exercise your facial muscles. Choose to be happy and you will feel good the rest of the day.

Drink a tall glass of water.

Water is one of the key factors in achieving a beautiful skin. Hence, hydration is important in retaining essential moisture to the skin. If you are dehydrated, it does not only make feel terrible, it messes with the quality of your skin, too. After having a good night’s sleep, your body needs to rehydrate. Start your day by drinking a big glass of water, preferably ice cold, to kick off your metabolism and signal your brain that it is time to get started. If you are not used to drinking iced cold water, a cup of warm water infused with lemon can be a good alternative.

Exercise is another key factor to achieving a beautiful, radiant skin. Energize your day by doing early morning exercise. When done outside, it provides health benefit like inhaling fresh air, which does well to our body. Many studies have proven that women, who exercise in the morning, sleep better at night. Sleeping at night have several benefits including a rejuvenated skin.

Shield your skin with sunblock.

Applying daily protection against sun’s harmful rays whatever the season is can do wonders for the skin. Doing this habit daily can delay skin aging. Aside from your face and body, put sun protection on your neck, lips, the back of your hands and even the eye area for these spots are exposed to UV rays.

Drink Green Tea

Drinking a cup of green tea brings in flavonoid, an antioxidant that helps in slowing cell damage. It is also linked to lower down risk of certain cancers. If you are a coffee-drinker, you can still drink coffee in the morning since it contains antioxidants, too. Research suggests that coffee drinking may speed up metabolism.

Use an antioxidant serum

Antioxidants such as vitamins C and E help protect the skin from free radicals that cause aging. Free radicals can be found in UV rays, pollution and other environmental skin stressors you encounter throughout the day. Using antioxidant serum helps sunscreen to work better. With regular use, you can see noticeable change in your skin.

Spray on citrus scent

Get some citrus fragrance by using a citrus-based perfume or body lotion that can perk up your day. Studies have demonstrated that citrus scents work in reducing stress and help in boosting immune function.
