Ingredients:

2 medium-sized cassavas 

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Finely-ground sea salt

Directions:

-Using a sharp knife, carefully chop off the ends and then remove the tough exterior of cassavas. 

-Thoroughly wash peeled cassavas under running water. 

-Chop them into quarters and then slice them up into strips. 

-Transfer cassava strips into a large pot and fill with enough water to submerge the strips. 

-Bring to a boil. 

-In the meantime, preheat the oven to 230°C or 450°F. 

-Once the water is boiling, keep it like that for another 8 to 10 minutes. 

-Carefully, fish out the boiled cassava strips and transfer to a large mixing bowl. 

-Mix in olive oil and a little ground black pepper and sea salt. 

-Arrange neatly on a large baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. 

-Once cooked, transfer the baking sheet onto a wire rack. Allow to cool for a while. 

-Transfer to a large plate and serve with ketchup or any of your favorite dip.
