Monitor your time

Since there are only so much time that you have for the day, it is imperative that you keep track of your time and where you tend to use it. Do you spend several minutes checking your Facebook or other social media sites? Are you putting most of your time in a task that can be done for later? The more you keep an eye on your time, and how you use it, will give you a clearer picture on how to handle it in the first place.

Start with the bad stuff first

There will be times when the tasks that are given to us are not something that we enjoy. If this is the case, it is better that you start with the bad ones then work your way to the tasks that you do enjoy. You might be surprised to find that you’ll be breezing through the day effortlessly because of it.

Take breaks

This may sound counterintuitive to being productive but if you will be working non-stop, you will be losing steam early in the day. It is nice that you are dedicated to your work, but when it comes to the quality of your work, you will see that those who are able to add breaks tend to produce better results. Use your breaks to walk around to keep your mind alert and focused.

Set a goal

If you want to be productive, you will need to learn to set goals as much as possible. Think of what you want to accomplish for the day and make sure that you achieve it. This can be something simple as finishing your work by 5 in the afternoon, be able to write how many words for your book, and so on. Start small then work your way up.
