Vinegar has earned the reputation as a great home remedy for different conditions. It comes in handy as it one of the widely used ingredient for cooking, making it available in most homes. Here are some home remedies to help you with.

Sunburn
Take some vinegar and pour some on your sunburned skin. Rub it lightly on the affected area. This results in a cooling effect. You may spray it on the skin using a spray bottle.

Poison Ivy and Poison Oak
Use vinegar as a compress to soothe the rash caused by poison ivy or poison oak. In a 1-pint container mix ½ cup of vinegar. Put it in the refrigerator. Use the chilled solution by dampening a piece of cloth and applying it to the rash.

Bee Stings and Bug Bites
Make a paste by mixing cornstarch and paste. Apply the paste in cases of bee sting and bug bites.

Sore Throat
Vinegar is a great remedy for sore throat. Make a gargle with a teaspoon of vinegar in 8 ounces of water.

Sinus Congestion
For the treatment of facial pain due to sinus infection, breathe in a steam of vinegar using a vaporizer. Use ¼ cup of vinegar and put it in a vaporizer. Breathe deeply.

Respiratory Congestion
Use a vaporizer for the treatment of head and chest congestion. Put ¼ cup of vinegar and run for at least an hour.

Cough
Use apple cider vinegar and sprinkle it on the pillowcase. This will help you manage coughing at night.

Muscle Sprain
Apply a paste made from the mixture of vinegar, white wine, and bran on the area affected by the sprain. With a towel soaked in hot vinegar, make a warm compress to the affected part. Leave it on for 20 minutes then repeat a few times.

Leg Cramps
Use full-strength vinegar to make a compress. A piece of soft cloth soaked with the vinegar is effective at bringing relief to leg cramps and other body cramps.

Headache
Use a mixture of water and vinegar in equal parts for a compress used to relieve headaches. Herbal vinegar is also used for aromatherapy.

Bursitis
Add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper into a cup of boiling apple cider vinegar. Use the solution for a compress to affected parts of the body. This solution keeps the affected area warm but keeps it from feeling like it is burning.

Backaches
Soothe sore muscles and bring relief to backaches with a hot bath with mixed 2 cups of vinegar into the water.
