You can also prepare lemon juice to help you deal with laryngitis. One reason why this solution will work is because of the acidic properties of lemon. It can also loosen up the mucus that is building up in your throat. Just get the juice from one lemon and add it to a glass of warm water, add half a teaspoon of sea salt then mix. Use this solution for your gargle. You should do this several times in a day.

Aloe vera juice

If you have GERD or acid reflux, chances are you are also suffering from laryngitis. One home remedy that you can use for reducing the symptoms of laryngitis is to drink aloe vera juice. This juice can boost your digestion and regulate any excess acids that are produced in the stomach. This minimizes the effects of GERD and can help treat laryngitis as well. You will need to mix an ounce of aloe vera juice with 2 ounces of water. You should do this several times in a day.

Garlic

You should also try garlic when you have laryngitis as it can kill off any bacteria or virus that is present in your throat. You should chew a clove of raw garlic then swallow after. If the taste is too strong, you can make syrup by chopping garlic and place in a container. Add equal parts of distilled water and raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Shake to mix then set aside for four hours. Add some honey and cool it in a fridge. Take 1 to 3 teaspoons of this syrup every 6 to 8 hours.
