Juice Recipes to Control High Cholesterol

High cholesterol levels can pose a serious threat to our health as it puts us at risk from heart problems such as stroke, high blood pressure, and other cardiovascular diseases. Although our body needs cholesterol to perform certain functions, too much of it can be bad for our health. Fortunately, there are steps that you can take to help your cholesterol level go down and one of them is to drink juices that are made from healthy ingredients. Carrots and apples

The first recipe that you can try to reduce your cholesterol is combining 2 carrots, 2 green apples, and 2 celery ribs in this mix. You should chop the celery to ½” or to 3/4” as long as they do not clog the pulp ejector if you are using a juicer. The carrots should also be chopped into thinner pieces so that they can easily fit in the opening and the same thing should be done with the apples. Remove the seeds so that they won’t be included in the mix. Juice these ingredients and you’ll have a concoction that will reduce your cholesterol easily.

Beet juice and red juices

If you want to reduce your cholesterol then you definitely need to add beets in your list of ingredients to juice as it contains properties that can help make your cholesterol go down. In this recipe, you will find some berries included too as they are high in antioxidants. You will need 1 beet, a handful of blueberries, ½ cup of strawberries, a tablespoon of wheat bran, and orange juice. You will need to wash the blueberries, beet, and strawberries first before cutting them into smaller pieces before you place them in the blender. Add the oatmeal and orange juice too. Add half a cup of water and mix until the mixture becomes homogenous and without any lumps. You should drink this in the morning to help lower your cholesterol.

Green apples and capsicum

Another recipe that you can try is combining green apples and a bit of capsicum to fight high cholesterol. You will need 2 green apples, 2 capsicums, 3 celery ribs, and a slice of unpeeled lemon. Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces before adding them to your juicer. This juice has a lemony flavor to it which you are sure to enjoy. If you can’t find any capsicums, you can swap some bell pepper instead.

Pineapple and lemon juice

Pineapple is another ingredient that is good for lowering your cholesterol. Combine it with lemon and you will get a healthy and refreshing drink. You should prepare the following: 28.2 ounces of pineapple, sliced, a pinch of cloves, 8 ½ cups of water, the juice of 3 lemons, and half a tablespoon of cinnamon. Blend pineapple with a glass of water. Stir in the lemon juice and spices into the remaining water. Add the pineapple mixture into the glass and stir until all the ingredients have been mixed thoroughly. Put it in the fridge to cool for a few hours.
