Dark underarms may be easy to conceal by wearing sleeved tops but when the weather starts to warm up, shedding your thick clothing is going to happen. The good news is that there are several ways in which you can make your dark underarms whiter without using any chemical based ingredients. Do you want to know how? Here are some tricks to get you started.

Potato

Did you know that, aside from making good French fries, potatoes can also be used to whiten your dark underarms? Potatoes have natural bleaching properties making them a useful ingredient when it comes to lightening your dark underarms. To use this home remedy, simply slice a potato and use the slices to rub against your underarms for 5 to 7 minutes. Wash the area afterwards with water. You should repeat this remedy 2 to 3 times a week to see changes in your underarms.

Lemons

We all know that lemons are great when it comes to whitening one’s skin so don’t hesitate to use it under your arms as well. Coconut oil

Another way for you to lighten your dark underarms is to massage the area with coconut oil. Coconut oil is actually one of the best oils to use to moisturize your dark arm pits and the best part is that it has whitening capabilities that can make this area of your body whiter in no time. Simply apply coconut oil under your arms regularly and you will see a huge improvement in no time.

Baking soda and lemon

If you want to speed up the whitening process under your arms, try combining some baking soda and lemon. What’s great about using baking soda is that it is an exfoliant which means that it can help remove dead skin cells under your arms while lightening your skin. Lemon, on the other hand, has bleaching properties that can also make your dark underarms disappear. Also, lemons have antibacterial and antiseptic properties that can eliminate odor too.

Sugar and coconut oil

You can also lighten your dark underarms through exfoliation. Keep in mind that dead skin cells can remain on the surface of your skin, clogging your pores, and darkening your underarms which is why it is always a good idea to exfoliate your skin from time to time. To exfoliate your underarms, simply mix a teaspoon of sugar with a small amount of coconut oil and gently massage the mixture under your arms. Scrub gently for a few seconds then rinse afterwards. You should repeat this at least once a week to see some results.
