Say Goodbye to Cavities with These Home Remedies

When it comes to oral problems, cavities will most likely be on the list and is commonly found in children, teens, and even adults too. Cavities often occur when there is tooth decay caused by poor oral hygiene. Other factors include the type of foods that we eat, medication, stress, and even wearing dental accessories. This oral problem also comes with several symptoms such as shooting pain in the affected area, visible holes, tooth sensitivity, and even stains on the teeth.   • Garlic. Garlic contains antibacterial as well as antibiotic properties that help address tooth decay as well as cavities. It can alleviate the discomfort that you are feeling too while promoting healing. To use this treatment, you should make a garlic paste 3 to 4 garlic cloves and mixing them with ¼ teaspoon of rock salt. Apply this mixture on the affected tooth or teeth and leave it for 10 to 20 minutes before you rinse using a mouthwash. Repeat this twice a day.
  • Bone broth. Another possible solution for keeping tooth decay and cavities away is to drink bone broth. You can use the bones of beef, poultry, or lamb even for this broth, plus salt, pepper, and water. You should boil the bones of the animal of your choice until you achieve a thick consistency. Transfer the broth into a container to store in the fridge, or have a bowl of warm broth to eat. Bone broth contains a myriad of nutrients that will help strengthen your teeth, improve gum health, and prevent tooth decay.
  • Turmeric. Turmeric is also a useful remedy for tooth decay and cavities thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Simply apply some turmeric powder on the affected tooth and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing with warm water. You can also mix half a teaspoon of turmeric powder with some mustard oil then massage it on your gums and teeth. Leave it on for ten minutes then rinse afterwards.
  • Salt water. The first thing that you’ll probably think of when salt water is mentioned for home treatment is that it’s good for sore throat. However, you can also use this solution to fight off cavities. Mix a teaspoon of Epsom salt in a glass of warm water and rinse and gargle with this solution. Make sure that you swish the solution in your mouth so that it will be able to penetrate in between your teeth to get to the cavities. You can repeat this twice a day.

These are just a few examples of home remedies that can help you fight off bacteria that is triggering tooth decay and cavities. Aside from these treatments, make sure that you visit your dentist on a regular basis so that you will be able to address the issue immediately.
