It can bring back negative memories of the incident that caused the scar or it can cause you to be ashamed of that certain area of your body. Here are some natural remedies that can fade the scars or remove them.

Natural Remedies:

Hazelnut Oil

Hazelnut oil is a common ingredient in lotions and facial creams due to its preserving qualities. Hazelnut oil is rich in fatty acid and vitamin E that can help lighten and reduce scar tissue. Apply hazelnut oil every day before going to sleep to reduce the scar’s appearance.

Vitamin E Capsules

Vitamin E is essential to skin health, this vitamin is anti-oxidant that can protect the skin from sun damage and lessen the effects of UV rays on the skin. Vitamin E can be found in different food such as vegetables, fruits and egg. Take a vitamin E capsule and pop it with a needle and apply the liquid directly on the scar tissue. Do this every day for best result.

Lemons are known to have skin bleaching properties and is packed with antioxidant. Lemons antioxidant can help lessen skin damage and improve the skin appearance. Applying lemon on the skin, reduce the appearance of scars and lighten the dark marks. Drink lemon juice every day to cure scar tissue from the inside and apply freshly cut lemon on the scar 20 minutes before showering in the morning.

Ice packs or Ice Cubes

Applying ice or ice cubes on the affected area can reduce scar appearance. The cold temperature can help scar tissue rejuvenation and improve blood circulation in the area. Gently massage the ice cubes on the area every day.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is known to help reduce sunburn and sun damage. It is also great for rejuvenating the skin and locking in moisture. Take an Aloe Vera leaf and crush it, extract the gel and directly apply it on your scar.

Almonds

Almonds are high in vitamin E and nutrients that can reduce scar appearance and improve cell regeneration. Take two to three pieces of almonds and soak the in water overnight. In the morning, remove the skin of the almond and mash them. Add a few drops of water or rose water and mix it together. Use this mixture on your scar and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is a famous ingredient in natural remedies. ACV is great for the skin, it can help moisturize and improve skin health. Dab a cotton ball or cotton bud in apple cider vinegar and gently apply on the scar. If your scar is on your face directly applying ACV on the skin may be too harsh. Mix one part apple cider and 2 parts water together. Use this mixture on the scar to promote fading.

These natural remedies can lightly reduce or remove light scars, but severe and deeper scars may need medical procedures or laser removal. Before applying anything on the skin or face perform a patch test.
