If you have family members or friends who seem to always complain of nausea, it’s a good idea to share this article on your different social media sites to let everyone you care about see the said recipe, too. There are so many things that can cause nausea to strike. An acid reflux attack is one of the most common ones, which is usually prompted by a meal that consists of trigger foods such as those that are greasy and spicy.

Motion sickness is another usual cause of nausea. Some individuals are simply more susceptible to feeling queasy when riding a motor vehicle, no matter if it’s the kind that works on land, air or sea. In some cases, nausea is triggered by exposure to certain types of smells. Nausea is also very common in pregnant women.

We can all agree that one of the best all-natural remedy for nausea is a cup of freshly-brewed ginger tea. However, it’s not all the time that you can whip up a cup of this nausea-busting tea.

There are candies and chews on the market these days that cater to the special needs of people who are experiencing nausea. You can also easily come across tiny roll-ons that contain certain essential oils. While effective, these solutions for nausea do not come cheap. Many of them have unnecessary ingredients, too!

Fortunately for someone like you who is prone to a bout of nausea, you can easily make some candies at home that you can then bring with you no matter where you go — just place some them in a tiny resealable bag.

Making these candies that you will later on learn how to make so effective against that uncomfortable feeling of being sick to your stomach is the same reason why ginger tea works so very well — ginger. Yes, you can make some super effective anti-nausea candies from scratch using ginger, a very powerful remedy for nausea.

Water

Directions:

-The amount of fresh ginger root to use will depend on how much anti-nausea candies you like to make. But since this is your first time making them, it’s a good idea to start with 4 to 5 pieces of fresh ginger root.

-Carefully, peel fresh ginger root with a knife. Afterwards, rinse them under running water thoroughly.

-Slice fresh ginger root thinly — the thinner, the better because it will allow you to really extract the compounds in ginger that helps combat nausea.

-Place sliced fresh ginger root in a saucepan and cover with water. If you don’t want the finished products to taste very strong, add more water.

-Using medium heat, bring to a boil. Switch to low heat once boiling, and let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

-Fish out slices of fresh ginger root and carefully weigh the liquid — you will use the same amount of brown sugar in weight. For instance, if the liquid weighs 5 ounces, then you will need to use 5 ounces of brown sugar.

-Add brown sugar to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil using medium heat. Keep on stirring with a wooden spoon to prevent brown sugar from burning.

-Once already boiling, switch the stove to low heat. Keep on stirring until the mixture gets really syrupy.

-Line a large tray with wax paper. Using a teaspoon, neatly place dollops of the syrupy mixture across the wax paper. Allow to cool completely.

-Transfer to your preferred container afterwards.
