Ingredients:

2 teaspoons of instant coffee 

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (ground) 

1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds (ground) 

2 cups of water 

2 small slices of palm sugar or jaggery 

2 whole cloves 

2 pieces of cardamom (smashed using the back of a spoon) 

1 small piece of fresh ginger root 

7 to 8 leaves of fresh basil leaves

Directions:

-Reach for a small saucepan and place 2 cups of water in it. 

-Add black pepper, cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, fresh ginger root and basil leaves into it. Bring to a boil. 

-Once already boiling, dissolve palm sugar or jaggery in it.

-Add instant coffee powder, too. Stir very well. 

-Switch off the stove, cover the saucepan, and allow all of the ingredients to steep for about 5 minutes. 

-Line a large funnel with coffee filter. 

-Carefully divide the contents of the saucepan into 2 cups. 

-Serve and enjoy.
