Ayurveda Tea Recipes for Health

Ayurveda has been around for centuries and has often been use for detoxifying the body of its impurities but there is a common misconception that practicing Ayurveda is going to be tough but you might be surprised to find that you can start off with something simple as that of making tea. In this ancient practice, Ayurvedic teas were all caffeine-free and were designed to regulate one’s overall health. Drinking tea can help detoxify the body so that it will function fully once more. Turmeric tea

For this recipe, you will need 1 to 2 tablespoons of ginger, thinly sliced, 1 to 2 teaspoons of coriander seeds, 1 to 2 bags of green tea, a quart of boiling water, a tablespoon of fresh turmeric, sliced thinly, and 1 to 2 teaspoons of fennel seeds. You should put all the ingredient in your French press, allow them to settle for about 5 minutes, then plunge it carefully. Refill this one more time with more boiling water. You can also put the ingredients in a kettle and simmer for about 5 minutes. Strain afterwards then drinking.

Tulsi tea

If you have sore throat, you can use basil leaves to combat the germs that are causing the pain in your throat. In this tea, you will need to steep 10 to 15 leaves of basil in one and a half cups of water then boil it for 10 minutes. Strain the solution afterwards. Add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice then drink afterwards. You can add some honey into the mix if you want to add flavor. Honey is a good option as it contains anti-inflammatories as well as healing properties.

Ginger tea

Another Ayurvedic tea recipe that you can prepare to boost your overall health is ginger tea. In this recipe, you will need half a tablespoon each of grated ginger, cloves, licorice, and black pepper. You will need to boil a cup of water first before adding all the ingredients to it. Keep the lid on then let it steep for about 20 minutes. Strain the spices then drink the tea throughout the day. This tea can help banish allergies too which is a plus.

Licorice tea

Asthma can be a bother especially when it is triggered on and off. If this is the case, you will need to prepare some licorice tea. You will need to boil the root of the licorice in water for about 2 minutes. You will need to put 5 to 10 drops of mahanarayan oil into the tea before drinking every 5 to 10 minutes while you are having your asthma attack. You will find that your asthma will be lessened. There are times when this can trigger vomiting but this is beneficial to you as it minimizes any spasms that are occurring in your bronchial tubes.
