Although it is impossible to tell when you are at risk of stroke, as some healthy individuals still succumb to this condition, there are symptoms that you should pay attention to because they might be early signs of stroke. Numbness

Ever felt numbness in your arm or leg after you wake up? Most of us assume that it’s because they fell asleep because of compressed nerve but if it doesn’t disappear after a few minutes, you need to call for help. When there is less blood flowing through your arteries that are found in your spine all the way to the back of your head, numbness is sure to happen on one side of your body.

Fatigue

Another sign of stroke that you should watch out for is fatigue. Keep in mind that your body is a balance of chemicals, water, and hormones and when this balance is off, symptoms like fatigue can set in. You see, when you suddenly become tired, it is because of a stroke that is affecting your brain function which affects the hormones in your body. If you suddenly feel tired all of a sudden, without any cause for it, it might be that you are already suffering from stroke which you need to address as soon as possible.

Slurred speech

Although slurred speech is common in certain medications, most people don’t really associate it with stroke. Another sign or symptom that you are having a stroke is when you are having a hard time putting your thoughts together. This happens when your brain is not getting enough oxygen thus it’s hard for you to express yourself or can’t understand what others are talking about. Blinding headache

Blinding headaches may be a sign of stroke too especially when you don’t experience it. Keep in mind that migraine headaches may appear that you are having a stroke because they exhibit the same symptoms. When you have blinding headaches or severe migraines, it is better to get help as soon as possible to ensure that you are not in the middle of stroke.

Vision problems

Double vision? It might be due to stroke. The brain is actually divided into two and they control the opposite side. So when one side is affected by stroke, you will get double vision. Most of us think of double vision is caused by our eyes becoming tired already or because we have watched TV all day long but when the change only happens in one eye, it is a sure sign of stroke. It is also possible that there is a more serious issue underneath which you still need to have checked immediately.
